Kolkata Doctor Rape Murder Case: The CBI investigation into the rape and murder of a female doctor in Kolkata is ongoing. Meanwhile, the Kolkata Police has registered a case against former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital Sandip Ghosh and others under Section 420 along with Section 120B of the IPC and Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act 1988.

Mamta government gave a big order
A special investigation team will be formed to investigate the allegations against former principal of RG Kar Medical College, Sandeep Ghosh. During this, the financial transactions done during his tenure will be investigated. The Mamata government has said in its order that a special investigation team has been formed to investigate the alleged financial irregularities. The special investigation team will submit its report within a month. The special investigation team will investigate the financial irregularities in the period from January 2021 till now.
This team will be led by IPS officer and Inspector General of Police Dr Pranav Kumar. Apart from him, this team includes Murshidabad Range DIG Waqar Raza, CID DIG Soma Das Mitra and Kolkata Police DCP Indira Mukherjee.
CBI wants to conduct polygraph test of Sandeep Ghosh
CBI may soon conduct a polygraph test of former principal of RG Kar Hospital, Sandeep Ghosh. For this, CBI has started the process of taking all legal steps before conducting the polygraph test of Sandeep Ghosh. CBI will also have to get the green signal from the court for this.
